Week 7 FSM4505 Lecture Diary~~ ๐Ÿ”ฎ๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ›œ

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Everyday Everytime blog๐Ÿช„

Today, Dr Fareed also combined the lecture for both groups due to the public holiday this Wednesday (Labour Day), so we have our class on Friday until 6pm.

This week, Dr. Fareed taught us about Chapter 5: E-business, E-commerce, and E-marketing. The difference between these three is that different platforms and e-businesses are considered to include e-commerce and e-marketing. At the same time, e-commerce does involve transactions, but e-marketing does not include it.

After that, we learned about e-business, e-commerce, and e-marketing definitions and concepts. At this session, Dr Fareed taught us about the concepts and dimensions of electronic commerce.

โžก๏ธPure e-commerce = song, e-book
โžก๏ธPartial e-commerce = click & mortar
โžก๏ธPure physical = brick & mortar

Next, Dr Fareed shared about the way to determine strategy. There are five ways:
1๏ธโƒฃ Determine objective (exp: existence, presence online, awareness, visibility)
2๏ธโƒฃ Recognise consumer behaviour (exp: the online website homepage should put what info to attract consumers)
3๏ธโƒฃ E-business brand
4๏ธโƒฃ Competitor analysis
5๏ธโƒฃ Performance measure (exp: customer feedback)

For the lab session, Dr Fareed covered the progress of the CIP-UPM project, Deeds 4 for the personal CV, Deeds 5, and the last topic updates about the GDG program.

Last but not least, we have learned about the 5 critical elements of creating an effective website ๐Ÿ›œ๐Ÿ”—, and this knowledge will be used in the Deeds 5 assignment later on.
