Due to not feeling well on Wednesday this week, Dr Fareed decided to have class on Friday with Group 1. We start the class by introducing Chapter 6, which is about e-commerce. 

At first, we differentiate the e-business, e-marketing and also e-commerce. Dr Fareed has told us that e-commerce must have transactions to occur. After that, Dr Fareed introduced us to the top 10 e-commerce developments of the last decade.

Next, Dr Fareed has taught the EDI concept, which is electronic data interchange. EDI uses private communications networks (VANS) to transmit standardised transaction data between business partners and suppliers.  Besides that, Dr Fareed has shared with us the concepts of the internet, intranet and extranet.

After that, Dr Fareed shared about e-commerce types involving the business and consumer. There might be a few different combinations of the business and consumer, which can either be B2C, C2C, C2B, B2B and so on. 

Next, we learned that we should think from the buyer's and seller's perspectives when conducting e-commerce. For example, if we are buyers, we should realise a need, research a product, select a vendor, provide payment, accept delivery and use product support. Nevertheless, if we are sellers, we should do market research to identify customer needs, how manufacturing products or supplying services can meet customer needs, and marketing and advertising to make customers aware of available products and services. 

For the lab session, Dr Fareed checked our CV progress one by one and gave us some advice to change it so that it can become better for our CV. After that, we proceed to a website analysis review for each group. From there, we noticed that there are some mistakes that make by senior and Dr Fareed advised us do not make same mistake when we create the website for our client company.
