Week 6 FSM4505 Lecture Diary~~ ๐ฎ๐ป๐
Hi everyone! Welcome to the Everyday Everytime blog๐ช
This week, Dr Fareed started the lecture with an explanation for not having the class on Friday. He needs to attend the MFBEA meeting that will be held this Thursday and Friday.
MFBEA - Malaysian, Food, Beverage, Executive, Association
Next, Dr Fareed shared with us about the KL20, a free conference held yesterday at KL Convention Centre. This program was organised to cultivate cultural entrepreneurs in Malaysia. At the same time, it encourages the small business to start up in Malaysia. The info that Dr gave us was that most of the Unicorn company was located in Indonesia, while Malaysia is trying to increase the quantity of Unicorn companies in our own country.
After that, Dr Fareed shared with us about the Cloud Kitchen, the central kitchen that used to be borrowed from someone else for delivery or take-out purposes.
Another conference that Dr has shared is CyberSecMalaysia 2024, which is about trust and security, but this conference needs to pay USD298 (so expensive๐ซ )
Next, Dr Fareed taught us about the Ethics, Privacy & Information Security chapter.
There are five standards for creating an ethical framework ⬇️
For the following lab session, Dr Fareed taught us about the set of netiquette that we need to exercise in cyberspace, and such rules and norms are known as NETIQUETTE.
- Remember the Human
- Adhere to the same standards of behaviour online that you follow in real life
- Know where you are in cyberspace
- Respect other people’s time and bandwidth
- Make yourself look good online
- Share expert knowledge
- Help keep flame wars under control
- Respect other people’s privacy
- Don’t abuse your power
- Be forgiving of other people's mistakes
The quote of today :
- If you don't trust technology, you won't use it ๐
- Technology is used to facilitate our life
