WEEK 3 FSM4505 Lecture Diary~~ 🔮💻🛜

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Everyday Everytime blog🪄

This week, due to Dr Fareed celebrating Hari Raya with our Faculty of Food Science and Technology, we don't have the online lecture session in the morning. Thus, we combine the lecture and lab session and have it in the afternoon from 2pm to 5pm.

This week, Dr Fareed mainly focused on SCL2, which is the brainstorming of theories related to information systems and organization.

Figure 1: Questions about SCL2 while Dr Fareed was explaining

In SCL2, we have to answer a few questions about the Diffusion of Innovation. For example, what is DOI all about, what is innovation, and so on. At the same time, Dr Fareed has recapped some theories with us, such as bandwagon effects and leapfrogging effects. Besides that, he also mentioned the difference between individual and organization adoption of innovation to help us more understand the concept. The last two questions that we need to answer are about the importance of the hierarchy of organization and the integration of functional areas in all organizations.

After explaining about the SCL2 (which needs to be submitted on Tuesday, 9 April 2024), Dr Fareed continued to the lab session part. This week, Dr Fareed explained to us about Modul 2, which is communicating well with your potential client, basically about how we approach the 3 restaurants that we choose and get approval from the owner of the shop to proceed with our CIP-UPM project with them. So far, we haven't fully done this part, and I really hope we can successfully get the approval from our chosen company!
